Your Haven in Costa Rica
Welcome to Casa Kia Ora
Casa Kia Ora isn’t just a location — it’s a feeling. A private, luxury retreat sanctuary nestled into the lush jungle hillsides near Dominicalito on Costa Rica’s South Pacific coast. Built in 2020 with intention, openness, and deep reverence for the land, this extraordinary retreat venue invites you to arrive, unwind, and restore.
"Be where your feet are."
Nicola Bunnett, founder Casa Kia Ora

Arrive. Unwind. Restore.
Casa Kia Ora is home to three distinct, nature-immersed properties, including the beautiful Royal Sabitha—set within the hillside jungle near Dominicalito and surrounded by beaches, waterfalls, and lush trails.
Every element of this place has been thoughtfully curated to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and settle into the natural rhythm of the land.
This is a space designed for rest, presence, and gentle renewal.
Take a moment to step inside.

This is the space that holds our experience at Kubuda.
Within this space, the days are shaped not only by where we rest, but by how we are nourished.
Meals at Casa Kia Ora are an extension of the experience — thoughtfully prepared, shared with ease, and woven into the natural rhythm of each day.
Gathering at the Table

Gathering at the table becomes one of the quiet anchors of our days at Casa Kia Ora.
Meals are prepared on site by a private chef dedicated solely to our group, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and guided by simplicity, nourishment, and care. Each dish is thoughtfully created to support the body gently — offering grounding, energy, and ease without excess or urgency.
Food here is not rushed or performative. It’s an invitation to slow down, to savor, and to reconnect — not only with what’s on your plate, but with yourself and those gathered around you. Meals are prepared and shared in the communal kitchen and dining spaces, allowing the process itself to become part of the rhythm of the day.
Dietary needs and preferences are lovingly accommodated, ensuring each guest feels supported and considered throughout the experience. Every meal becomes a moment to arrive again, to be nourished, and to rest in the simplicity of being cared for.
“Food is more than sustenance—it is the alchemy of earth, sun, and spirit. When prepared with love and received with gratitude, each bite becomes a catalyst for transformation from the inside out.”
