“The earth is not just the environment. The earth is us. We are a part of her and she is a part of us. The trees, the mountains, the rivers, and the sky—we carry them inside of us.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh~

What to Expect on a Kubuda
A Kubuda experience is intentionally designed to offer guidance without pressure and structure without rigidity.

The experience is held with care, allowing each guest to engage fully while honoring their individual needs and natural pace.
What follows outlines what’s included and how the week flows.

From here, the experience begins to unfold.
“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.”

A Day at Kubuda
A gentle rhythm unfolds each day — one that balances intention with spaciousness, allowing you to move through the experience with ease.

Each day at Kubuda begins quietly. You’ll have time to wake naturally, take in the surrounding jungle, and orient yourself before the day unfolds.
Gentle movement, yoga, walks to the beach, or guided practices may be offered—always as an invitation rather than a requirement.

Meals are shared throughout the day and thoughtfully prepared to nourish both body and vitality.
Between scheduled gatherings, there is intentionally held space for rest, reflection, journaling, wellness treatments, or time immersed in nature — allowing integration without hurry.
Afternoons are devoted to guided lessons, workshops, and shared learning experiences that form the heart of the Kubuda journey. These sessions offer practical wisdom, insight, and tools that deepen the experience and support meaningful integration, and guests are warmly encouraged to participate fully to receive the greatest benefit.

Evenings invite the group back together for a shared, chef-prepared meal — a time to unwind, connect, and enjoy nourishing food in a relaxed, intimate setting.
As the day draws to a close, the group gathers for grounding practices such as guided meditation and crystal bowl sound healing. These evening sessions support integration, allowing what was explored during the day to settle gently into the body and mind.
Nights are unhurried and quiet, offering deep rest beneath the natural rhythms and sounds of the jungle.
This rhythm repeats throughout the week, becoming familiar and grounding—creating a sense of steadiness, ease, and trust in the flow of each day.
Midweek, the pace opens into a day of curated exploration, offering time to experience the beauty and vitality of Costa Rica together before returning to the sanctuary.
Nothing is rushed.
Nothing is forced.
The day meets you where you are.

A Day of Adventure and Wonderment
Part of the Kubuda experience invites you to step into the vibrant beauty of Costa Rica — in ways that feel meaningful and alive.
On one curated day, you have the choice to explore the landscapes that surround Casa Kia Ora: from coastal views and hidden waterfalls to gentle encounters with wildlife and tranquil beaches.
Whether it’s a quiet moment watching the horizon, a shared excursion, or a walk through the jungle, this day is held with the same intention as the rest of your week — spacious, grounded, and in harmony with your own pace.
It’s not about checking boxes or filling time — it’s about offering a chance to meet awe, joy, and wonder in the world around you, if you feel drawn to it.
As always at Kubuda, participation is an invitation, never an expectation.
How the Experience Is Held
Kubuda is shaped by years of lived practice and thoughtful integration across disciplines that support presence, steadiness, and inner clarity.
Rather than following a single methodology, the experience is held through a gentle weaving of research-informed and embodied practices—offered with care, restraint, and respect for each individual’s pace.
The intention is not to fix or change you, but to create the conditions where clarity and self-trust can naturally emerge.
